Off the Table Canada is proud to join the international chefs and filmmakers at Devour! The Food Film Festival.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Game Changers: Changemaking Visionaries.” The focus on ethical eating mirrors Off the Table’s global campaign to raise awareness about the environmental degradation caused by the open-net pen salmon farming industry. We are calling on the hospitality sector and consumers to take ocean-farmed salmon off their menus to protect the planet and people.
At the Food Film Festival, we are sponsoring the Ethical Eating Celebrity Chef Dinner at 7:30 pm on October 24 at Devour! Studio in Wolfville where ASF’s Neville Crabbe will give a short talk and show a film clip. We are also sponsoring the Culinary Workshop with Chefs Julian Bond and Robert Clark at 11 am on October 25 at the Devour! Studio. Catherine Collins, an OTT Canada founder, will talk about seafood sustainability.
