About us
Off the table is a global campaign coordinated by the UK-based WildFish. The conservation group is working to protect wild fish populations, and the ecosystems on which they depend worldwide.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the environmentally destructive nature of the open-net pen salmon farming industry, and is calling on the hospitality sector to take farmed salmon off its menus. The campaign began in the UK, but has spread to Australia and Tasmania, Iceland, and now, Canada.
“Eating Atlantic salmon from open net salmon farms is the wrong choice for our health and the health of our environment. Responsible consumers should avoid these inhumanely, unsustainably raised fish.”
